Rovigo Province

In the north of Italy in the Venice region, the province of Rovigo stretched its territories. This province is 1790 km2 in size and is divided into 50 municipalities with a population of 245000. There are the provinces of Venice, Verona and Padua in the north, in the south – Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy lies to the west and the Adriatic is in the east. There is the delta of the river Pos situated in the province of Rovigo, and the Adriatic city that is definitely worth seeing.

In the east of the province of Rovigo there is the small village of Malera, it shines with its ancient history and art, as a prove of this is the famous Madonna del Lume. Further to the south there is Castelnovo, with its unique river island, it is a must for every holiday and that makes a trip to the province of Rovigo absolutely worthwhile. The accommodations here are not too crowded, so the traditional flair is not lost.

Only the closeness to nature and the Italians make the region so unique. Ancient customs and traditions can be witnessed here, such as the strawberry harvest festival in Salara. It is a wonderful opportunity to the people to understand and be dispatched not by a mass event. In addition to the architectural masterpieces of Rovigo, its fascinating River Delta landscape makes the province unique and remarkable.
