Events in Venice

Venice is situated in the North of Italy and together with its seven provinces offers many attractions and events for tourists. Venice is one of the most popular places of interest among the tourists as it has to offer many varied opportunities for holiday makers, fabulous sand beaches and wonderful nature.
Above all mentioned the carnival of Venice is a world-famous event. It is celebrated from the mid till the end of February every year. The carnival covers all the places in Venice and the streets are always overcrowded during these days. Venice is transformed into a very different picture with historical and imaginative costumes and playful masks.

Venice is also known by its historical feasts, such as Festa della Sensa. It symbolizes the “marriage” of Venice and the sea. The Festa della Sensa is held once a year on Sunday after Ascension. In July, Venice celebrates the Saviour festival Festa del Redetore, and in cool September the historical regatta resigns the Regatta Storica. It is always held on the first Sunday of September. Those who like going shopping will appreciate the variable selection of markets which are broadly represented in Venice. No one should avoid visiting the Biennale di Venezia, one of the world’s greatest international art exhibitions in the heart of the city.

Venice is also physically arranged. The Paralympic Games had already been held here. Every year the civilian and fire rescue brigades arrange the ski competitions as well.

Even the opera lovers will get an unforgettable experience at the Arena di Verona where such operas as Carmen or Aida are offered and also Opera Festival attracts the audience.
