Braga is a starting and passing point for several trails that differ in direction and route characteristics. Sentiero n. 62 and Sentiero n. 53 start in the village; CAI 63 reaches Braga, while C13 – Traversata del Baldo passes through Braga. This distinction is useful when planning your trip: depending on the route, Braga may be the starting point, the endpoint, or a section along the way. Also useful for orientation are a viewpoint on C13 and an agriturismo with guest apartments in Località Braga.

Sentiero n. 62: historic route and clearly defined limits

Sentiero n. 62 starts in Braga and ends at Malga Valfreda Crocetta. It follows an old transhumance route from the villages on the Caprino plain to the summer pastures of Monte Baldo. The historical term refers to the seasonal movement of livestock between pastures and explains the connection between the villages on the plain and the summer pastures. For orientation, a specific destination and a historic function of the trail are therefore both useful.

Mountain biking is permitted on Sentiero n. 62 only between Pradonego and Malga Ime. If you plan this activity, this section is the relevant limit.

Other trails with Braga as a starting point or destination

Sentiero n. 53, also called Sentiero Eugenio Turri, runs from Braga to Lumini via the meadow area of Piore and Monte Creta. The name Sentiero Eugenio Turri refers to the same trail. Unlike Sentiero n. 62, which ends at Malga Valfreda Crocetta, this trail leads to Lumini; Piore and Monte Creta add features of the route to its endpoints.

Sentiero CAI 63 reaches Braga via Valle delle Chiare, after passing through Pradonego. From LocalitĂ  Braga, a hiking route follows the same trail uphill to Colonei di Caprino. CAI 63 can therefore be seen both as a trail to Braga and as an ascent from LocalitĂ  Braga. For orientation, the sequence of Pradonego, Valle delle Chiare, and Braga, as well as the destination of Colonei di Caprino, are key points.

C13 – Traversata del Baldo and viewpoint

C13 – Traversata del Baldo runs from Renzon to Braga, passes through the village, and then continues toward Pradonego. Braga is not the starting or ending point here, but lies along the route. There is a viewpoint in Braga on C13 with spectacular panoramic views. This route therefore offers a different perspective from those that start or end in Braga: the village lies along the stretch between Renzon and Pradonego.

Local history and accommodation

Braga is one of the settlements that arose near springs. This historical aspect adds a look at the origins of the village to the route information. In LocalitĂ  Braga, Fattoria Monte Baldo offers an agriturismo with guest apartments. Anyone looking for accommodation in Braga can consider this specific type of stay.
