Pelosa combines a distinctive cultural landscape with individual attractions in Borgoricco. During your stay, the focus is not only on historic buildings, but also on Villa Bressanin Park, the Roman centuriation that remains recognisable today, and a museum that makes the history of the parcelled landscape visible. On Via Pelosa, the Oratorio della Madonna del Carmelo and Ristorante Convivio 57 provide additional points of reference for the area.

Parkland and Venetian villa

Parco di Villa Bressanin covers approximately 20,000 m². It preserves a romantic garden dating from the second half of the 19th century. The grounds belong to Villa Bressanin, a typical Venetian villa with a barchessa. As a result, the site combines local architectural character with a varied garden landscape, without requiring you to consider the two themes separately.

The park is home to notable specimens such as a deodar cedar, a Sophora pendula and a bald cypress. The diverse plant and shrub populations provide a habitat for numerous birds and typical animals of the Po Valley, including foxes. The Garzaia Villa Bressanin is also listed in the 2023 survey of heron colonies. This note describes its documented place in the survey, not a specific opportunity for observation at the present time.

Roman traces in the landscape and museum

Roman centuriation is still visible in the Camposampierese area today, in the road network and the surrounding landscape. Anyone interested in this historic organisation of the land will find an additional cultural perspective at the Museo della Centuriazione Romana. The museum is located in the Centro Civico in Borgoricco, designed by architect Aldo Rossi.

The museum’s archaeological materials come from the parcelled landscape. The collection includes bronze strigils and architectural terracotta slabs whose reliefs are decorated with plant motifs. A museum visit therefore leads from the visible structure of the landscape to concrete finds and design elements from its history.

Centro Civico Aldo Rossi is connected by cycle paths to the Padova–Asolo cycle route and the Treviso–Ostiglia route. The Padova–Asolo route follows the banks of the Muson dei Sassi. The Treviso–Ostiglia runs along the route of the former military railway of the same name.
