Ca' Corniani combines Venetian rural architecture with permanently installed art, cycling routes and activities on the water. If you want to get to know a place not only through its landscape, but also through its history and contemporary design, several different experiences come together here: works of art mark the estate, a historic winery conveys its development, and the bike station opens up routes through the countryside and along the river.

Art and History on the Estate

Among the most striking features are three permanent works of art. La Soglia Est is an artwork featuring LED lettering on the façade of the historic pumping station. It lights up whenever lightning strikes anywhere in Italy. La Soglia Nord has a gold-leaf roof covering an old farmhouse. La Soglia Ovest consists of stone sculptures depicting the estate's dogs and horses. Each of the three works creates its own distinctive accent between technical installation, rural architecture and motifs from life on the estate.

The Ca' Corniani winery was built in the second half of the 19th century as an example of rural architecture. Today, its long history is conveyed through multimedia installations and a photo exhibition curated by the Alinari Archives. At the same time, the historic winery serves as an information point and as the starting point for a visit to Ca' Corniani. The restored Macchina Fissa houses another multimedia museum, accessible via the “Ca' Corniani Terra d'Avanguardia” app. In addition, the two rural courtyards of Ca' Corniani are considered examples of Venetian rural architecture and are well worth seeing.

Cycling, the River and Tasting

For exploring by bike, the Ca' Corniani cycling loop is available. It is 23 kilometres long, takes an estimated two hours and is considered easy. The route runs along unpaved paths and gravel roads. At the Ca' Corniani bike station, electric bikes and conventional bicycles are available for rent. This makes it possible to choose different types of bicycles for the loop, without implying any particular route or itinerary.

The bike station also provides kayaks for excursions on the Livenza River. In this way, a water-based experience complements the cycling loop and the visit to the historic facilities. The Ca' Corniani area is bordered by the courses of three rivers; the Livenza is the specifically named river on which kayaking excursions are offered. In the Ca' Corniani tasting area, you can sample products from 1851 Passione Agricola and a selection of fine wines. This area adds a culinary dimension to the historical and scenic experience.
