Ca' Zennare between rural history and lagoon landscapes

Ca' Zennare combines a rural setting with several clearly named options for exploring the lagoon landscape and surrounding area by bicycle. When choosing this destination, both the character of the place and the specific starting points of the routes are therefore of interest. Agriturismo Zennare is housed in carefully restored rural buildings dating from the early 20th century. The restoration preserved a visible wooden roof and the original terracotta tiles. These details provide the place with a clear historical connection, without making the rural architecture merely a decorative backdrop.

Valle Millecampi and Oasi Cà di Mezzo

Valle Millecampi is located nearby. It covers 1,608 hectares and forms a lagoon landscape. It includes expanses of lagoon mud, known as “velme”, as well as low-lying islands called “barene”. These terms designate distinctive components of the landscape and make clear that this is not merely a generally described expanse of water.

The Oasi Cà di Mezzo offers another connection with nature. It provides a natural setting for relaxation and leisure; birds in particular live in this area. Alongside the cycling routes, this gives you a second way to experience the surroundings, with a stronger focus on the landscape and wildlife. Oasi di Ca’ di Mezzo is recommended as a stopover.

Five circular cycling routes starting and ending at the agriturismo

The “Pedalando tra terra e acqua” circular cycling route starts and ends at Agriturismo Zennare. Around three hours are allocated for it. The “Alla scoperta della bonifica” circular cycling route, the “Alla laguna del Lusenzo” circular cycling route, the “Al mare tra Brenta e Adige” circular cycling route and the “Tour della campagna in famiglia” circular cycling route also all start and end there. The five named circular routes therefore provide concrete guidance for different excursions, without requiring any additional assumption about accommodation or transport.

The route becomes particularly tangible with “Alla laguna del Lusenzo”. This route leads to the Laguna del Lusenzo, which separates Chioggia from Sottomarina, and then to a cycle and pedestrian path. The route description thus connects a specific landscape area with an equally specifically named section of path. If you would like to understand the surroundings of Ca' Zennare through such destinations, you can make your selection based on the respective route and its documented destination area.

A place of remembrance and geographical orientation

The townscape also has a historical connection: in Ca' Zennare, there is a memorial stone commemorating the partisans Vittorino Boscolo Fiore, Vittorio Chiozzotto and Giuseppe Campaner. From Ca' Bianca, the entrance to Tenuta Zennare is approximately 3 km away.

If you would like to compare the wider area, you can find Sottomarina, Isolaverde Di Chioggia and Cavanella D'adige.
