Churches and historical sites
Pieve del Grumello was built in the 5th century on slightly elevated ground. It is considered one of the oldest churches in the Diocese of Concordia. Its location and age make it an independent historical point of reference that clearly differs from later buildings. The Chiesa di San Marco in Corbolone represents a different period. It was built in 1514 and houses important works of art by Pordenone, de' Pitati and Diziani. Thus, a visit is not focused solely on the year of construction: the church interior is also associated with several renowned artists. Villa Zeno adds another historical perspective. The building was constructed on the remains of an ancient castle, thereby preserving a connection between present-day architecture and an older fortified site. The Bosco di Bandiziol-Pressacon
The Bosco di Bandiziol-Pressacon is one of the most distinctive natural and landscape features in the surrounding area. The hedgerow biotope is dominated by the pedunculate oak, Quercus robur. It also contains the elm, Ulmus minor, the black alder, Alnus glutinosa, the manna ash, Fraxinus ornus, the narrow-leaved ash, Fraxinus oxycarpa, and the field maple, Acer campestris. This precise composition gives the woodland a clearly recognizable botanical profile. The Bosco di Bandiziol is considered one of the most significant examples of a lowland forest in the Eastern Veneto. At the same time, the area is home to an ancient, thousand-year-old forest documented by significant historical finds. Its former economic role is also part of the history of the area: During the time of the Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia, the area served as the main source of ship planks and supplied the settlement of Corbolone with firewood. The natural environment and history of use therefore stand side by side here, without reducing the forest to a single theme for visitors.Festivals, wine and short stays by the canal
The traditional “Fiera di S. Antonio” in Corbolone takes place in the second half of September. It attracts exhibitors and visitors from the Eastern Veneto and nearby Friuli. During the festivities, the “Mostra dei vini di Corbolone” promotes the culture of quality wine; the “Marengo d’oro” wine prize is also awarded. For your travel planning, the second half of September therefore marks a specifically named period for a local event, while the wine presentation establishes its own cultural focus. The Riviera del Canale Malgher in Corbolone offers a tree-lined bank on the left side of the canal. Suitable paving, lighting and seating are provided for short stays. This location complements the historical and landscape destinations with a clearly described area by the water where you can plan a break.Route towards Caorle
