Costermano

Costermano is a small town that lies in the province of Verona on the lake Garda only in 4 km from the city of Garda. Only 3,000 people live in Costermano. Costermano has always attracted the German tourists as there is the cemetery here where the German soldiers are buried. The cemetery of Costermano was inaugurated in 1967 and it is a convention of Germany and Italy to honor the German soldiers who died during the World War II in Italy. Many Germans chose Costermano as a tourist destination as it is easy to get there. The cemetery was built on the Guardia Hills in lowland between the Caprino plain and the Garda bay. The cemetery is the main attraction of Costermano. There are no other attractions here since it is a typical small Italian village located in the Veneto region.

It is very difficult to find apartments and cottages in Costermano to rent as only few of them are available here, but it is possible find something suitable in the nearby resort of Garda. However Costermano offers some very good hotels where you can always stay. E.g. four-star Hotel Madrigale that can be proud of an excellent restaurant. Golf Hotel Ca’degli Ulivi, the Poiano Hotel and the Cipriani Hotel are also very good.

There are also good restaurants like Ai tre Camini, Capodanno or the Antico Café Dante in Costermano where you can taste various traditional dishes. So, enjoy your vacation in Costermano!
