Water Landscapes and Historic Paths

Arsié can be discovered through Lago del Corlo, the history of the mountain landscape and traces of former rural life. Lago del Corlo is an artificial reservoir in the lower Feltrino area, extending from Arsiè to the remains of the former hamlet of Rocca. The lake therefore combines a clearly recognizable landscape with traces of past settlements. On Lago del Corlo, you can explore bays and secluded corners by kayak. Paths along the lake invite you to discover Lago del Corlo and its history. One important restriction is relevant for planning your visit: swimming is not permitted in Lago del Corlo, as the lake is not designated as a bathing lake. Those who choose the lake as their main focus will therefore find a combination of waterside landscapes, kayaking and paths with historical connections.

Fortress, Villages and Architectural History

A notable historic site is Forte Leone on Cima Campo. It was built between 1906 and 1912 as part of the Brenta-Cismon fortress system. The most convenient road from Arsiè to Forte Leone begins in Arsiè's main square and leads towards Col Perer. Smaller traces of settlement also give the area its distinctive character. Fumegai is an abandoned village in the Carazzagno Valley at an altitude of around 600 metres. The hamlet of Fumegai was built at the beginning of the 19th century. In the settlement of Solivi, in the hamlet of Fastro, there are, among other things, rural houses with wooden exterior balconies. These balconies were formerly used for drying agricultural produce; their historic function should therefore not be equated with a present-day use. At Lago del Corlo stands the Ponte della Vittoria, which was inaugurated in 1928. In Rivai, the access path to the Oratorio di San Lorenzo is lined with 14 niches commemorating the Stations of the Cross. The parish church of Arsié also preserves an original apse dating from before the year 1000. Together, these sites reveal different historical layers—from military architecture and rural settlements to religious buildings.

Museums and Regional Traditions

The Casa Maddalozzo Museum is housed in a typical rural residence that has remained largely unchanged for centuries. It conveys mountain traditions and an earlier way of life shaped by work in meadows, pastures and forests. Guided tours of Casa Maddalozzo can be booked by telephone on 392-5737174. The museum is therefore particularly interesting if you want to do more than simply view individual buildings and instead understand the historical everyday life of the mountain region. The Casel de Melam cheese-making museum in Mellame commemorates milk processing and other gastronomic traditions. The municipal mountain huts in the Celado–Cima Campo area also offer a culinary connection to the landscape. During the summer season, visitors can taste and buy mountain cheese, butter, ricotta and other typical products there.

Paths with Views of Arsié

The paved Crer path descends towards Arsiè and offers panoramic views of the main town. It complements the paths around Lago del Corlo with a route where Arsié itself becomes the viewpoint.
