Discover Auronzo Di Cadore
Accommodation in Auronzo Di Cadore
Auronzo di Cadore combines different ways of experiencing the landscape: a completely unpaved cycling and walking trail with no road crossings, Tre Cime Adventure Park with courses at different heights, and the Monte Agudo ski area. This allows you to tailor your stay to your preferred activity without confusing the individual offerings with one another.
Cycling route between Auronzo and Misurina
The 30-kilometre Auronzo-Misurina cycling and walking trail connects Lago di Santa Caterina in Auronzo with Lago di Misurina. Its route type is particularly useful for orientation: the trail is completely unpaved and has no road crossings. An approximately 15-kilometre section leads from Auronzo to Palùs San Marco and is also suitable for families. This section therefore offers a clearly defined way to get to know the surroundings over a shorter distance, while the entire connection to Misurina forms a longer route.
Family activities and views
Tre Cime Adventure Park is aimed at visitors of all ages and includes six courses at different heights. These include a play course for children aged 3 to 5. Five other courses are more challenging, with the highest reaching a height of 14 metres. A viewing platform 20 metres above the ground offers views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Dolomites. Those who pay particular attention to a range of activity options when choosing accommodation will find a specific combination here of playful activities, high-altitude courses and views.
Monte Agudo and trails in the Marmarole Massif
The Monte Agudo ski area in Auronzo has just under 20 kilometres of slopes and two chairlifts. The upper part of Monte Agudo, an offshoot of the Marmarole, reaches 1,585 metres and offers views of Auronzo town centre and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. During the warmer months, trekking routes and summer hikes in the Marmarole Massif can begin directly from the town of Auronzo or its immediate surroundings. The documented options therefore range from slopes on Monte Agudo to hikes in the Marmarole Massif, without requiring both experiences to take place in the same season.
Lake, town centre and event
Lago di Auronzo can be explored by kayak, rowing boat and pedal boat. In the town centre, light-coloured stone monuments stand by the lake, with an easy circular trail leading around them. This places a circular trail, historic monuments and various activities on the water side by side within a compact area of interest.
A special date in the annual calendar is the “Camignada poi siè refuge”. The traditional, non-competitive mountain run is 30 kilometres long and takes place on the first Sunday in August. The route leads from Misurina via Rifugio Auronzo, Rifugio Lavaredo, Rifugio Locatelli, Rifugio Piani di Cengia, the Val di Cengia and Val Marzon, and along the cycling trail to the finish in Auronzo di Cadore.
