Cycling Routes in Arzergrande

Four cycling routes in Arzergrande are considered short and very easy; they run along cycle paths and country roads. Their specific itineraries differ, so when choosing a route, consider not only their shared classification but also the sequence of roads. Before cycling, you should take local conditions into account.

The “Schilla” tour starts in the square in Arzergrande and follows Via Bassa to Osteria del Sole. It then continues along Via Caresin, Via Contarina and Via Marconi, over the Fossa Schilla embankment and onward to Scolo Altipiano.

The “delle acque” tour also starts in the square and follows Via Bassa to Osteria del Sole. From there, it continues to Via Montin and along the embankments of Scolo Acque Straniere, Scolo Altipiano and Arzeron Basso.

The approximately 5 km “Creare” tour runs from the square via Brusamantello, Creare, San Marco and Vallonga. Two abandoned Casoni in Vallonga are not open to visitors. The return route follows Manzoni, Osteria del Sole and the cycle path on Via Bassa.

When comparing distances, note the additional distance for the “delle acque” tour: “Schilla” is approximately 8 km long, “Creare” approximately 5 km and “delle acque” approximately 4 km; for the latter, add 2 km each way for the journey to and from Arzergrande. You can take the stated route length and the specific itinerary into account when planning.

Casoni and Culture

Until 2004, there were two inhabited Casoni in Arzergrande. One collapsed in 2004 following a snowfall; the other was entrusted to the municipality. In 2008, it was restored using funds from the Ministry and the Province, furnished with original furniture and painted azure blue. It is the Casone Azzurro. Its history thus links the loss of one of the two inhabited buildings with the restoration of the other.

The Sala Museale Cesarina Foresti is located at Via Bassa 3 in Arzergrande. If you would like to include other destinations, also discover: Conselve, Este, Correzzola and Conche.
