Bosaro combines paths along the water with individual reminders of the town’s history and a festival calendar that places San Luigi at its center. This gives you a destination that can be explored through specific routes, buildings, and local traditions. The town is particularly vivid where the Canalbianco, the history of drainage, and the landscape around Passo and Ca’ Rangon come together.

Cycling Tour and Paths along the Canalbianco

A cycling tour in Bosaro begins at the parking lot next to the parish church of San Sebastiano. The first section runs for 8.5 kilometers along the waterway’s grassy banks. The route passes through Passo and Ca’ Rangon; both settlements lie between the Canalbianco and the Collettore Padano Polesano.

If you would like to reach or leave Bosaro on a longer route, Stage 4 of the Cammino di Sant’Antonio offers another option: along the Canalbianco, this stage can be extended as far as Bosaro. This information describes an independent option alongside the cycling tour and makes the canal a recurring point of reference in the town.

Water Management and Historic Sites

Near the right bank of the Canalbianco stands the Oratorio di San Pietro Martire in Passo di Pontecchio Polesine, within the municipality of Bosaro. The connection with the water also shapes another structure: the double Botte di Bresparola carried drainage water beneath the now-filled-in Fossa di Polesella and into the Collettore Padano. The Botte di Bresparola is a hydraulic engineering structure built between 1877 and 1901. The villa and the Botte represent different historical building functions: one as a manor house, the other as a water-management structure.

The town’s historic architecture also includes Villa Artili-Perrona, an 18th-century villa in Bosaro. Its manor house overlooks an extensive courtyard from an elevated position. The villa was first recorded in the Catastico Veneto in 1775. The year connects the present-day townscape with clearly identified historical documentation, while the location of the manor house describes the architectural character of the complex.

Festivals around San Luigi

The local events calendar also provides a specific point of reference. The municipality of Bosaro lists the Fiera di San Luigi on June 21 among the local festivals, fairs, and sagre. A Sagra di San Luigi lasting five days is also documented for 2025. Thus, the date and duration are two separate details relating to the festival; this does not imply any additional regularity or a future date.
