Ceregnano combines documented cultural sites with waterways, cycling connections, and places of remembrance. In the town center, there are two buildings recognized as being of cultural interest under Article 12 of Italian heritage protection law. Along the Canal Bianco, there are also several complexes listed as IRVV villas. Together with Lama railway station, regional train 18096, and various routes, this creates a townscape that you can explore in different ways.

Churches and Historical Places

The Chiesa di San Martino Vescovo in the town center is a parish church. The earliest surviving references concern three notarial deeds drawn up in Rovigo on April 26, 1296. Its tall, three-part neoclassical façade is particularly striking. Also in the town center, on Via Verdi, is the Oratorio B.V. Addolorata. This oratory too is recognized as being of cultural interest under Article 12 of Italian heritage protection law.

Further historical connections can be found at the Museo della Boje in Pezzoli, a hamlet of Ceregnano. The museum is associated with the peasant movement that emerged there in 1884. Another way to explore the town's history is the “Percorso della memoria.” Memorial plaques there commemorate massacres during the Second World War. In Pezzoli, the event “Bombasin, Bombasin, tira fora el codeghin” also took place on March 29 at the Museo de la Boje, with the entrance on Piazza della Repubblica. It recalled a traditional mask from Polesine in which a bull symbolically made drunk was meant to promote a good harvest.

Canal Bianco, Villas, and Routes

Several named places connect Ceregnano's history with the Canal Bianco. Corte detta “Le Procurative” is a complex listed as an IRVV villa in Località Procurative, on a bend of the Canal Bianco. Tenuta Stellà, also known as Corte Ferrari-Pizzardo, is listed as an IRVV villa near the hamlet of Lama, on the left bank of the Canal Bianco along the road to Baricetta. Casa Passarella is located on the road along the left bank embankment of the Canal Bianco toward the Adriatic, before the bridge at Gavello.

There is a mooring area for boats on the Canal Bianco. This mooring area also includes a facility for outdoor tourism. For walks, a tourism project in Ceregnano provided for five signposted footpaths, including the “Procurative” route. The Ippovia Canalbianco riding route runs along wooded riverbanks where the Bosco della Palà is located.

Arriving by Train and Bicycle

Lama railway station is located in the municipality of Ceregnano. Regional train 18096 from Lama to Rovigo stops in Ceregnano and allows bicycles to be carried. Ceregnano is also connected to Rovigo by a cycle path along the Adigetto. Via Ponte di Lama, the Ciclovia della Felicità offers a shorter option of approximately 25 kilometers. This means that, for your orientation, there is both a railway connection with documented bicycle carriage and several explicitly named cycling and walking routes.
