Valle di Castelgomberto can be explored via paths, individual scenic viewpoints, religious buildings and local offerings. The Giro di Valdilonte is described particularly specifically: After reaching the Chiesetta di Regina Pacis, the circular route leads through the upper valley and along hillside paths through the Contrade Povoli, Sottoriva and Motto. The route is 9.3 km long, includes 150 metres of elevation gain and takes approximately 2 hours 45 minutes. It is also suitable for mountain bikers. The time stated should be understood as an approximate value.

Paths between chapels and scenic viewpoints

The Chiesetta di Regina Pacis is located at the confluence of Valdilonte and Valdibarco and is also part of the route described. Another route description begins at the square in Valle di Castelgomberto: It follows the road towards Torreselle for approximately 1 km, turns left at the Chiesetta di Regina Pacis and then continues along the road to Agriturismo Valdibarco.

At the Chiesetta di San Valentino, wooden tables stand in a meadow surrounded by trees. This spot is suitable for resting or having a picnic. Near the Bocca pass lies the Buso del Ponte, also known as Covolo delle Anguane. It is a small cave with a large circular opening near the entrance.

A forest path leads from Valdicase to the concrete Croxe del Galo. The structure is also visible from the meadows of Valdilonte and from some clearings on Monte Mori. Another forest path runs from a rustic building in Valdibarco along the mountainside to Valdilonte. Along the Strada vecia de Vale, below Colle di San Valentino, lie old quarries for white stone. They are considered extensive, bright caves.

History and local events

The history of the area includes the Church of Santa Cecilia in Castelgomberto, which dates from the 18th century. After the construction of the new Church of San Pietro e Paolo at the beginning of the 20th century, Santa Cecilia was abandoned. It was subsequently decided to dismantle it and rebuild it in the Valle district. The Monumento ai Caduti, inaugurated on 24 April 1977, also stands near the parish church of Santa Cecilia.

Events are also documented for Valle. The 14th Camminata di Primavera was a non-competitive walking event with routes of approximately 7 km and 12.5 km. Sagra a Valle 2023 was a weekend featuring music and good food. Sagra Valle took place on the last weekend of June 2025. Both dates are in the past; no future event date can be inferred from them.

Agricultural offerings

The offerings at Agriturismo Valdibarco include meals and drinks as well as breakfast and/or tastings or small snacks on site. The agriturismo also sells products directly from its own farm. This complements the described paths and scenic viewpoints with a documented connection to food, tastings and agricultural production.
